scrummy...

oh, just look at these colours....  This is going to be my next project (the one after the hexagons...lol)...I can't wait to start this one - I have been tempted to start it anyway, but then I told myself off...'one thing at a time'...otherwise I won't want to finish anything. Thats the story of my life!!!
You should see the cross stitch I have stashed under the bed, and on the wardrobe that I would 'finish one day'...he he!!   Oh well...

my sunshine afghan

I had lots of wool that I have bought over the years because I liked the colour, but never actually got round to doing anything with, so I sat one day and decided to learn the shell stitch. This is my very first project.

I have to say, I love this stitch, you can do it in your sleep!!

wavy stitch

I saw this stitch on youtube, a while ago (I will put the link in when I find it again), and it did look 'easy' to do, but... I really did find it a pain, because the pattern just did not look even, even though the count was correct, but I managed to fob my way through it. I don't know if I will give this one a go again...not for a while anyway.

Work in progroess....

so far 222 hexagonals for this bedspread... it is about 2/3 of the way there.
I have used Robyn wool for this one, and a 4mm hook.

This is for my youngest daughters bed. When my older daughter saw it she said she would like one tooooooo

Prince and the Pea

Pumpkin

When I saw my baby sitting on the pile of blankets my first thought was 'princess and the pea'...love him.

love my jars

I have lots of weaknesses, and containers are one of them.... jars, bottles, tins. I love love love them....
These I have been collecting for a while (that's another one of my weaknesses...collecting).
The buttons are just buttons, the marbles I have collected over the years, bought a few from the biggest marble factory in the world down in Devon, and the shells I have collected from the coast, any coast we have visited.

I might have a collections section, because I do seem to collect all sorts of useless things...

favourite things

This is my little downstairs loo....  it was used by all children that visited our house when my daughters were small, that's why the bright colours and bits dangling etc etc.  One mum once said that there were 'lots of things to look at for them'.  I love my little loo... It is my little room now, and I am changing bits as I go along.

wool.....wool....everywhere!

Having decided that I want crochet in my life, I have been collecting wool by DK (double knit) colours....
I have found out that this is a mistake...lol...   but I like the pretty colours!!

There is DK, and there is DK - some feels like straw, and some is babysoft... why?

I have now managed to find a lady who sells wool, and she does have a huge selection!  I am trying to stick to one make for the moment, while I am still beginning, and this wool is Robyn Double Knit.  The colour range is good, and the texture isn't bad.  Above is a selection of Robyn I got from her the other day.

An absolute beginner....

Good morning...   I have wanted to start a crochet/knitting blog for ages!!  Where does the time go to?
I have been a card maker and scrapbooker for years and years. Then one day I thought to myself  'Pina, your grandmother taught you to crochet, don't waste it', and do you know I LOVE IT!!!

So far I am having a ball....

At the moment I am making granny squares

Aren't the colours just lovely?

must go now and feed my lovely little babies...
